Located on the Edwards Plateau in Bosque County, Texas, Clifton Livestock Commission is owned and operated by Wayne and Andrea Carroll, who took ownership in January 2011. They are proud to carry on the tradition of “People First”.
The Carrolls have a longstanding passion for agriculture, starting with Wayne’s involvement in FFA throughout high school. He went on to pursue a degree in animal science at Tarleton State University, and upon his graduation he immediately began is career with Iowa Beef Processors, Inc., now Tyson Fresh Meats, in procurement throughout Iowa and Illinois. Wayne was fortunate enough to carry on his career in procurement, in 2001, with Capitol Land and Livestock Company. In 2008, Wayne and Andrea purchased a sale barn in North East Texas, which they operated for four years until purchasing Clifton Livestock Commission in 2011.
The Carroll’s are honored to be a part of Bosque County and the city of Clifton. They have two sons, one serving in the United States Military as an Army Ranger, and one is a defensive line coach for Houston Baptist University.
